Lawyer Haniff Khatri's house among three damaged in Rawang fire
Three two-storey terrace houses in Bandar Country Homes, Rawang, were damaged in an early morning fire today, including the home of lawyer Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla. The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said the blaze, reported at 3.06am, was brought under control by 4.08am and no casualties were reported. A Perodua Axia was also 90 per cent destroyed.

OCR Group launches RM344mil D'Templer Hilltop Residences in Templer, Selayang
OCR Group Berhad has launched D'Templer Hilltop Residences, a RM344 million freehold landed development in Templer, Selayang North, Selangor, comprising 52 semi-detached homes and nine bungalow lots. The project sits within the existing Dolomite Templer development, and OCR has spent about RM2.5 million upgrading the guardhouse, security, landscaping and infrastructure there.

Shop assistant charged with injuring wife in Gong Badak
A vehicle spare-parts shop assistant pleaded not guilty at the Kuala Terengganu Sessions Court to causing grievous hurt to his wife on 5 September. Wan Noorazmilrullah Wan Noorabiddin, 37, was charged under Sections 325 and 326A of the Penal Code, and the court set 8 October for document submission.

Customs Seize Smuggled Cigarettes, Liquor Worth RM1.95 Million in Klang Valley
The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) Kuala Lumpur seized untaxed white cigarettes and liquor worth RM1.95 million through two special operations around the Klang Valley. The Ops Tembok Besar and Ops Akur operations, conducted in July and August, led to the arrest of 38 individuals and the opening of 38 investigation papers.

BMW catches fire in early morning, blaze spreads to 3,000 sq ft of forest
A BMW luxury car caught fire in the early hours on the Rawang Bypass in Selangor, destroying 90% of the vehicle and spreading to nearby forest, burning about 3,000 square feet. The driver escaped unharmed, and firefighters extinguished the blaze by 4:46 am.
