Property entrepreneur wins Facebook defamation suit at Shah Alam High Court
The Shah Alam High Court ruled that property entrepreneur Datuk Mohamad Azlan Abdullah @ Ali succeeded in his defamation suit against Shahruldi Mahafiz Ramli over two Facebook posts. The court ordered the defendant to pay RM30,000 in costs, with damages to be assessed in separate proceedings.

Former general manager remanded two days over abuse of position in property firm
A former general manager of a property investment holding company has been remanded for two days by the MACC over allegations of abusing his position to approve promotions, salary adjustments and bonuses without following standard operating procedures. The remand order was issued by Magistrate Wan Noora Nisa Ngadirin in Shah Alam today. The suspect was detained while giving a statement at the Selangor MACC office.

SMJK Ken Hwa jump rope team finishes fourth at national meet
The jump rope team from SMJK Ken Hwa in Keningau, Sabah finished fourth in the Figure 8 event at the 2026 National Jump Rope Competition. The competition was held at Sunsuria Forum in Setia Alam, Shah Alam, Selangor from Aug 20 to 22, with 59 schools taking part. The team of eight Form One and Form Two students also competed in the 4 x 30s Speed Relay.

Wan Lestari stands by retirement, cites royalty frustration

Immigration raids net 1,155 undocumented workers across Malaysia
Malaysia's Immigration Department arrested 1,155 undocumented foreign workers in a nationwide operation called Ops Sasar, which targeted 40 locations. Police link July i-City kidnap 'victim' to drug boss slain in Seremban
Police believe a man rescued from a kidnapping in i-City, Shah Alam in July is linked to the head of a drug syndicate who was shot dead in Seremban. The rescued man is being detained for 60 days under the Dangerous Drugs (Special Preventive Measures) Act 1985 as investigations continue.

Customs Seize Smuggled Cigarettes, Liquor Worth RM1.95 Million in Klang Valley
The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) Kuala Lumpur seized untaxed white cigarettes and liquor worth RM1.95 million through two special operations around the Klang Valley. The Ops Tembok Besar and Ops Akur operations, conducted in July and August, led to the arrest of 38 individuals and the opening of 38 investigation papers.
