US-backed Tugu Negara project to boost local conservation expertise

A RM1 million US initiative will fund the conservation of Tugu Negara in Kuala Lumpur, involving an exchange of expertise between American and Malaysian specialists. The project will train at least 50 students and professionals from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), which will serve as the research partner. The 12-month project is targeted for completion before Aug 31 next year.
