Technology key to reducing 60,000 foreign workers a year in construction sector
CIDB Malaysia CEO Ahmad Farrin Mokhtar said technology is key to achieving the government's target of reducing foreign worker dependence by 10% annually in the construction sector, equivalent to replacing about 60,000 workers each year. He highlighted the importance of automation, AI, BIM, and robotics, such as painting robots, to boost productivity, during a press conference at MITEC in Kuala Lumpur.
