Sabah activates disaster operations in haze-hit districts

Sabah's disaster operations control centres in Kota Kinabalu, Keningau and Papar have been activated as air pollutant index readings approach hazardous levels. The state government has recommended cancelling outdoor activities and closing schools if readings reach 200, while a haze emergency would only be declared at 500.
