Recruit foreign healthcare workers for public system to counter staff exodus
The Galen Centre for Health and Social Policy has urged Malaysia to recruit foreign healthcare professionals to address critical staffing shortages in the public system. The think tank proposed a multi-year recruitment and retention programme funded by the 2027 Budget and the creation of an independent Health Services Commission.
