Activist arrested for sedition over posts on temple demolition protest

A 55-year-old activist was arrested in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, for allegedly posting seditious content on social media related to a protest over the demolition of an Hindu temple in Kangar. The Kangar police chief said the activist was remanded for two days and is being investigated under the Sedition Act and for misuse of internet facilities.
