Activist arrested in Petaling Jaya for sedition over Kangar temple protest

A 55-year-old activist was arrested in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, yesterday and remanded for two days starting today. The arrest is linked to TikTok posts suspected of inciting the public over the demolition of a temple in Kangar on August 22. Police received 14 reports about the posts, and the case is being investigated under the Sedition Act 1948.
