CAAM confirms crashed Long Lellang helicopter had valid airworthiness record
The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) confirmed the BO105 helicopter that crashed in Long Lellang, Baram, Sarawak had a valid Certificate of Airworthiness until 4 August 2027. Operator Layang Layang Aerospace has suspended its BO105 helicopters and other aircraft using Rolls-Royce 250 series engines as a precaution. The Air Accident Investigation Bureau is investigating the crash that killed five people.
