Sabah Wanita MCA urges careful review of FDS safety audit after BO-105 crash
Sabah Wanita MCA has called for a balanced approach to the Flying Doctor Service after a BO-105 helicopter crashed near Long Lellang Airport in Ulu Baram, Sarawak, killing five people. Its chairman Datuk Dr Pamela Yong said calls by Hartal Doktor Kontrak to suspend the service must be studied carefully because a suspension would cut off rural patients from medical care. She suggested tighter supervision, a review of the aircraft's age and better insurance and incentives for staff.
