Unsold completed homes rise 8.6pc to 33,094 units worth RM17.78bil
The number of completed but unsold residential units rose 8.6 per cent to 33,094 units worth RM17.78 billion in the first half of 2026, compared with 30,471 units worth RM17.73 billion in 2025. Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan said the issue involves not only high-priced homes but also affordable and mid-range segments, as well as serviced apartments. He stressed that developers and local authorities must use NAPIC data before launching new projects.
