PI firm partner fined $24,000 for consenting to surveillance of police officer

A partner at Singapore private investigation firm CDiC Consultants was fined S$24,000 on Tuesday after pleading guilty to consenting to her company supplying a private investigator to surveil a police officer. The surveillance, carried out between December 2021 and January 2022, targeted a deputy superintendent handling a case involving a client's father, and the company did not obtain written approval from a licensing officer.
