Mustapha: MA63 is national agenda, Sabah interim grant now RM1.5b
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Mustapha Sakmud said the Federal Government treats MA63 as a national agenda, not just a Borneo struggle, in his Malaysia Day 2026 message. He said the MA63 Implementation Action Council agreed in principle to more parliamentary seats for Sabah and Sarawak and progress on Borneonisation, and that Sabah's interim special grant has risen to RM1.5 billion this year from RM600 million, with RM900 million to be disbursed in 2026. He also criticised calls for an early dissolution of Parliament during Malaysia Day.
