FAM delegates at a hotel in Petaling Jaya voted to proceed with an Extraordinary Congress and executive committee elections even though the Electoral Committee chairman and deputy do not meet the legal qualification required by the FAM Electoral Code. Congress chairman Windsor Paul warned the decision could be challenged at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, after Selangor FA raised a formal objection.
