Furniture warehouse in Port Klang catches fire, 70% damaged
A two-storey furniture storage warehouse on Jalan Perusahaan 22, Kampung Idaman, Port Klang, caught fire this afternoon. About 70 per cent of the building was affected and a Perodua Viva was 20 per cent damaged, but no casualties were reported. The fire was brought under control at 5.31pm and the cause is under investigation.

Body of missing fisherman identified by wife after boat capsizing
The body of Muhammad Shahril Abdul Rahman, one of the fishermen missing after a boat capsized, was found this morning in the waters off Hutan Melintang, Perak. His wife identified him by his shirt and ear shape at the Kampung Semenja jetty camp in Kapar. The body was sent to Shah Alam Hospital for a post-mortem.

Police arrest man with 27 criminal records over wife's assault in Cheras

Mother who manages funerals has to handle her own son's after Klang crash

MAIS targets all Selangor mosques to adopt AI and digitalisation
The Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS) aims for all mosques in the state to adopt artificial intelligence (AI) and digitalisation in their management, up from about 30 per cent currently. MAIS secretary Mohd Sabirin Mohd Sarbini said digital financial systems and management courses will be expanded by district, with AI also used in MAIS's daily operations. Body of missing fisherman found off Bagan Datuk, two still missing

At an affordable housing apartment on Jalan Ipoh in Kuala Lumpur, seven or eight Bangladeshi workers have been occupying equipment and pump rooms as living quarters and workshops, storing motorcycle tyres, black oil and petrol, and running an illegal motorcycle repair operation. Residents say one was seen showering in a women's toilet near the pool, and they have lodged three police reports and referred the matter to the COB, the strata management tribunal and Kuala Lumpur City Hall.

About 500 units of the People's Housing Project (PPR) at Taman Yu Legenda in Sungai Yu, Kuala Selangor, have been left empty for over three years despite being ready for occupancy and handed over by the developer. Former Tanjong Karang MP Tan Sri Noh Omar expressed regret that the developer's warranty period has expired and the government may have to bear repair costs. The Sungai Yu village head fears the vacant homes could become an illegal settlement for foreigners.
