The Op Gempur Khas raid on September 10 seized 87.22 grams of syabu worth about RM5,000, two air rifles and a pistol-like object.

  7. Fibreglass boat carrying over 600 vape pods; man abandons cargo and flees

    At 5pm on September 5, a Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency patrol boat spotted a suspicious fibreglass boat in Senggarang waters. The suspect fled, leaving behind a black bag hidden among rocks on the shore containing over 600 vape pods suspected to contain 'piao piao' drugs, worth about RM160,000. The case is being investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

    More than 600 vape cartridges containing liquid suspected to be the synthetic cannabinoid known as "Piu Piu", worth an estimated RM160,000, were seized along the shore in Senggarang, Batu Pahat, Johor. The suspect fled in a fibre boat when he spotted a Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency patrol boat on Sept 5. Samples of the liquid have been sent for laboratory analysis.

  9. Three charged in Tawau with trafficking over 12kg of drugs

    Three people, including a suspected drug runner and a mother of four, were charged in the Magistrate's Courts in Tawau on Friday with trafficking more than 12kg of drugs last month. The offences are alleged to have taken place at locations in Kampung Titingan, Jalan Abaca and Kampung Wakuba Gading, all along Jalan Apas. No plea was recorded and the cases were fixed for mention in October pending chemical and pathology reports.

Narcotics CID director Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said total seizures including vehicles and jewellery reached RM1.2 million across seven arrests under the 1985 Special Preventive Measures.

  12. Police freeze accounts of second pilot held in RM45m drug case

His arrest in the Klang Valley on 7 September brings the number of people detained in Malaysia over the case to seven.

  13. Two men held after 50km chase; syabu found in car near Kota Tinggi

    Two men aged 33 and 44 were arrested after their Proton Wira was intercepted at Kilometre 31.5 of the Johor Bahru-Mersing road in Kota Tinggi early this morning. A search found syabu and both tested positive for methamphetamine; both have prior narcotics records and are remanded until 15 September.

  14. Police: Malaysia's location makes it a drug transit hub

Bukit Aman's narcotics director said she had flown from KLIA on Batik Air flight OD205 and is being held by Delhi Customs pending trial under India's narcotics law. She has a prior drug-related record under Section 15 of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

  25. Selangor police seize RM31.53m in drugs, arrest 14

    Selangor police broke up six drug syndicates in seven raids across KLIA, Segambut, Kajang and Sepang between 19 and 26 August. The RM31.53 million haul included 135.4 kg of cannabis buds and 117.54 kg of MDMA, with 14 people arrested.
