Singapore to outlaw sale of drink containers without Return Right logo from Oct 1, 2026
From Oct 1, 2026, it will be an offence in Singapore to supply regulated drinks whose containers lack the Beverage Container Return Scheme deposit mark and barcode. Retailers are clearing old stock at discounts of up to 50 per cent before the transition period ends on Sep 30. Offenders face fines of up to S$10,000 and/or up to three months' jail.

Rembau chief says Negeri Sembilan exco's ruler-deposition notice is void

Minister Armizan Mohd Ali said the programme has grown each year, from 736 series in 2023 to 2,584 in 2025, and is now a permanent government programme.
