CIDB: Technology must replace 60,000 foreign workers yearly in construction
CIDB Malaysia CEO Ahmad Farrin Mokhtar said technology is key to achieving the government's target of reducing foreign worker dependence by 10 percent annually in the construction sector. With about 600,000 foreign workers currently, this means 60,000 workers need to be replaced with technology such as automation, AI, BIM and robotics each year. He said this at a press conference at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur.
