The first batch of properties seized in Singapore's largest money laundering case will be auctioned this month, with 25 properties including a Suntec City office and a South Beach Residences penthouse among over 80 to be sold from September to mid-2027. Tower Transit seeks four commuters who helped unresponsive bus driver in Hougang
A Tower Transit bus driver became unresponsive behind the wheel while approaching a bus stop in Hougang Avenue 3 on Sept 14. Four commuters and an SBS Transit driver helped stop the double-decker bus and call for an ambulance; the driver is in stable condition at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Uzbek mother and son arrested over S$5,000 thefts at Changi Airport shops
A 39-year-old woman and her 16-year-old son from Uzbekistan were arrested for allegedly stealing about S$5,000 worth of items from shops in Changi Airport's transit area. The teenager faces six theft charges, while his mother faces one theft charge and one for receiving stolen property; both will be charged in court on Wednesday.

SIA flight SQ24 to New York turns back to Changi after pilot falls ill mid-air
A Singapore Airlines flight bound for New York returned to Changi Airport on Sep. 14, about four hours after take-off, following an in-flight medical emergency involving the pilot. The Airbus A350-900 landed at about 9:11pm with all 144 passengers and 17 crew disembarking normally, and later departed Singapore again at 11:58pm.

NetLink Trust: fibre outage in Bishan and Thomson to be fixed by Wednesday morning
About 2,000 Singtel, StarHub and M1 broadband users in parts of Bishan and Thomson lost fibre service after a third-party contractor damaged multiple NetLink Trust cables. NetLink Trust says restoration is under way and should be complete by Wednesday morning.

In Punggol, 24-year-old Sherman Seng works as a safety operator for Zig Driverless, a ComfortDelGro unit, monitoring autonomous shuttle rides that began in April. He and 12 other operators watch for vehicle errors, take manual control when needed and feed problems back to engineers. Seng trained three weeks in Guangzhou before operating the shuttles.

Grab to grow AV fleet to 50 vehicles, expand beyond Punggol
Grab will expand its autonomous vehicle fleet from 10 to 50 over the next six months and is preparing an on-demand point-to-point service in Punggol, with plans to extend to other parts of Singapore subject to regulatory approval. Woman sues Sheng Siong over trolley of rice bags hitting her foot
