Jamil Khir pleads not guilty to three charges over RM860.3m Tabung Haji loss to Al-Rawda
Former minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom was charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today with three counts of causing Lembaga Tabung Haji to dispose of RM860.3 million to Saudi Arabian firm Al-Rawda Real Estate Development and Projects Management Co Ltd. He pleaded not guilty before Judge Rosli Ahmad. The offences are alleged to have been committed at his Putrajaya office in 2015, 2016 and 2017 under Section 403 of the Penal Code.

Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom, a former minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of religious affairs, arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex on 14 September to face charges linked to the Royal Commission of Inquiry report on Lembaga Tabung Haji. The case is set for mention before Sessions Court Judge Rosli Ahmad, after the MACC proposed three charges under Section 403 of the Penal Code. He was earlier detained on 2 September and released on bail on 8 September.

A two-day Parliament open day that began yesterday drew 11,280 visitors, above the initial target of 10,000. Dewan Negara president Datuk Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah said it was the programme's best showing since it began in 2023. The event aims to bring Parliament closer to the people by letting the public see the proceedings inside the Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Negara.

Man stabbed in the back while working at Kuala Lumpur Wholesale Market

472 foreigners detained in Immigration raid at Lebuh Pudu
Kuala Lumpur Immigration detained 472 foreign nationals in an integrated enforcement operation at Lebuh Pudu, Kuala Lumpur today. About 2,500 foreigners were checked in the operation that began around 11am, involving nationals from Bangladesh, Myanmar, the Philippines, Nepal, Indonesia, Pakistan, India, China, Zimbabwe and Saudi Arabia. 1,600 join Oxyenergy Prima Merdeka Run 2026 at Balai Berita Bangsar
About 1,600 participants took part in the Oxyenergy Prima Merdeka Run 2026 organised by Kelab Media Prima at Balai Berita Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, today. Immigration raid at Lebuh Pudu nets 472 undocumented foreigners
An integrated operation at Lebuh Pudu in Kuala Lumpur today detained 472 foreigners suspected of lacking valid documents after about 2,500 people were checked. The raid also uncovered premises believed to be a prostitution centre and a clinic run by a fake doctor. All those detained were taken to the Bukit Jalil Immigration Depot for further action.
