MIER urges shift to integrated support ecosystem for MSME policy
The Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER) has recommended that Malaysia's policy for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) shift from merely increasing aid to building a more integrated, accessible and results-oriented support ecosystem. MIER also welcomed the Prime Minister's announcement of a RM200 million grant for small traders and an increase in micro-financing to RM6 billion for 2026.
