Instagram to require 'AI-generated profile' label for virtual persona accounts
Instagram has announced changes to its rules for AI-generated persona accounts, requiring accounts featuring AI virtual characters to display a new 'AI-generated profile' label to clarify the account holder is not a real person. Accounts without the label will have reduced reach. The new label will appear below the account name on the profile page, posts, Reels and stories, and is currently only supported on mobile.
