NRES stops considering new Violation Licences, full enforcement of PUB 2014 from 2027
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) will no longer consider new Violation Licence applications under the Environmental Quality (Clean Air) Regulations 2014 (PUB 2014), effective immediately. Minister Arthur Joseph Kurup said the directive ensures full enforcement of PUB 2014 starting January 1, 2027, noting that 38 premises still have not complied.
