Nepal flood death toll rises to 1,396, over 5,100 still missing
Nepal police say the death toll from the flash floods has risen to 1,396 as of 8pm Monday, with more than 5,100 people still missing and search efforts ongoing. The August 26 glacial collapse triggered severe flooding across eight districts including Rasuwa. A separate mudslide in Gyirong, Tibet, killed 43 and left 519 unaccounted for.
