384 arrested in Manjung over nine months in migrant smuggling crackdown
Malaysian authorities arrested 384 people in 13 joint operations in Manjung, Perak, between January and September over migrant smuggling. Those arrested included 368 Indonesians, nine Indonesian children, two Bangladeshis and five local Malaysians. In a separate operation on August 18, 5.8kg of methamphetamine worth RM185,600 was seized.
