Salleh: Sabah and Putrajaya should build a partnership, not dwell on the past
Former Sabah chief minister Salleh Said Keruak said in a Malaysia Day message that Sabah's relationship with the federal government should grow as a genuine partnership rather than be framed by past disputes. He said upholding Sabah's rights under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 does not mean distancing the state from Malaysia, and called for cooperation on education, healthcare, infrastructure and the economy.
