China AI boom drives PCB orders and price hikes up the supply chain
In China, the boom in large AI models is pushing demand through the industrial chain, with high-end printed circuit boards in short supply and orders at some leading makers booked through 2027. Industry figures say high-speed PCB prices have more than quadrupled, forcing downstream manufacturers to raise prices or delay deliveries. China's AI industry was valued at over 1.2 trillion yuan in 2025, up 40 percent year on year.
