He recalled the Bukit Jenalik tragedy in Kuala Kangsar on 2 July 2000, when the Al-Maunah group that stole weapons from the Wataniah Regiment camp in Gerik fortified itself there, triggering Op Subuh. Two security personnel died in the operation.

A 58-year-old factory manager was killed in a two-vehicle crash at KM31.2 of Jalan Kota Tinggi-Kluang on Sunday evening after rough seas forced his fishing group to return from Pulau Aur a day early. Two others in the other car also died. The victim's daughter said he had kept in touch with family throughout his trips.

A factory manager, Mohd Noor Selamat, 58, died in a two-vehicle crash at Kilometre 31.2 of the Kota Tinggi-Kluang road yesterday evening. A married couple in a Perodua Axia also died. His body is to be buried at Taman Sri Lambak Muslim cemetery in Kluang today.

Couple killed in Kota Tinggi crash had told family to travel separately
A couple died when their Perodua Axia collided with a Honda BR-V at Km31.2 of the Kota Tinggi-Kluang road in Johor. Relatives said the couple had insisted other family members ride in a different vehicle before the crash, which also killed a 58-year-old passenger in the other car. The two will be buried together at the Kampung Tanjung Buai Muslim cemetery.

A husband and wife died after the Perodua Axia they were in collided with a Honda BRV at Kilometre 31.2 of the Kota Tinggi-Kluang road in Johor. The BRV's passenger, Mohd Noor Selamat, 58, was also killed. The couple were buried in a single grave at the Kampung Tanjung Buai Islamic cemetery in Kota Tinggi.

Rider without helmet rams traffic cop, breaking his right hand
A motorcyclist without a helmet rammed a traffic policeman during an Op Motosikal operation in Kota Tinggi at 10.03am. The officer suffered a broken right hand and was taken to Hospital Kota Tinggi, while the 24-year-old local suspect was arrested at the scene. The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, Section 186 and Section 322 of the Penal Code.

Kota Tinggi police seize 18 foreign-driven vehicles, issue 34 summonses

The 7am to 10am operation involved 15 motorcycles and three cars, with 34 traffic summonses issued.
