Thailand, Cambodia open UNCLOS maritime conciliation at PCA office in Singapore
Thailand and Cambodia began compulsory conciliation over overlapping maritime claims at the Permanent Court of Arbitration's Singapore office on Sept 15, with Thailand's foreign minister accusing Cambodia of hypocrisy and self-serving claims. Six men were jailed on Monday over an armed robbery at a luxury bungalow in Singapore's King Albert Park area in 2024, in which $4.9 million in assets were stolen. The gang fled Singapore immediately and moved the loot to Malaysia. A seventh suspect is still at large and is believed to be in Thailand.
