Man, 51, found dead on bench in Jalan Besar alley; police investigating
A 51-year-old man was found motionless on a bench in an alley off Jalan Besar, Singapore, on Sep. 7 and pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they do not suspect foul play and investigations are ongoing. A cleaner had seen the man sleeping there the previous day and called police after finding him unresponsive.

PUB tells commuters to avoid Jalan Boon Lay and Jurong Port Road junction over flash-flood risk
PUB has advised the public to avoid two locations in western Singapore on the morning of Sept 10 because of the risk of flash floods. Jalan Boon Lay from International Road to Enterprise Road and the junction of Pesawat Drive and Jurong Port Road were flagged for an hour from about 8.26am and 8.29am respectively, with heavy rain expected over many areas from 8am to 9.30am.

Six men to be charged for separate molestation cases across Singapore
Six men aged 23 to 76 will be charged on Sep. 10 for separate cases of outrage of modesty in Singapore. The incidents occurred between May 2025 and July 2026 at locations including Victoria Street, Bayfront Avenue, and Boat Quay. Police arrested the men either at the scene or after follow-up investigations.

SDP raises concern over charges against Jolovan Wham and Elijah Tay
