Muss, Jo, Eddie and Black reunite at Mega Star Arena after 26 years
A concert marking the 30th anniversary of the album Biru Mata Hitamku was held at Mega Star Arena in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur last Saturday. Muss, Jo, Eddie and Black performed together for the first time since 1999, singing songs from the album and paying tribute to the late JS Kevin and Bob Lokman.

Australian, US tourists tour KL heritage by Vespa
Fifteen Australian tourists and three from the United States were taken around Kuala Lumpur on Vespa scooters recently. They visited Medan Selera Pudu, Kwai Chai Hong in Chinatown and Little India in Brickfields to sample Malay, Chinese and Indian food and culture.

Zahid warns UMNO not to be fooled again in political cooperation
At the UMNO 2026 General Assembly at WTCKL, party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi warned delegates not to be 'bitten by the same snake' in political cooperation. Deputy President Mohamad Hasan said UMNO will not forget being played in Malay-Islamic unity efforts. A Kubang Pasu delegate added that any cooperation must be sincere and willing to compromise, including on seat allocation in PN-held states.

Betty Benafe admits family conflict pressures her two children
Betty Benafe, 46, revealed that her marital conflict with her ex-husband has put pressure on her two children, Julia Claire Dargus, 13, and Bruce Dean Dargus, 10. She took them to see psychiatrists and child psychologists, and enrolled them in a tahfiz school to find calm. She spoke after being met at the Ziarah Seni Madani programme at her restaurant, Restoran Benafee, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.

Natural History Museum and Aquaria KLCC launch Hidden Wonders of Malaysia campaign
The 'Hidden Wonders of Malaysia' campaign was launched today as a collaboration between the Department of Museums Malaysia through the Natural History Museum and Aquaria KLCC. The three-month exhibition combines preserved natural history specimens with live marine life to raise awareness of biodiversity conservation. It also supports preparations for Malaysia's first Natural History Museum.

Jimmy Liong faces US teen Shimabukuro in KL Cup last 16

7,887 join IHH Sky Race to conquer Merdeka 118 Tower
A total of 7,887 participants took part in The IHH Sky Race at Merdeka 118 Tower in Kuala Lumpur last weekend. Participants had to conquer 118 floors and 2,845 steps, including an eight-year-old child, an 81-year-old veteran climber and a disabled athlete from the United States.

Perak athlete Chew Jit Thye successfully defended his badminton WH1 (wheelchair) gold medal at the Selangor 2026 Para Malaysia Games at the Selangor Youth and Sports Complex in Shah Alam. The 27-year-old won all four matches without dropping a set. He now trains at the Kampung Pandan Paralympic Sports Excellence Centre and aims for the Paralympics.

Police question 12 witnesses over RM2.91 million Ampang condo armed robbery
Police have recorded statements from 12 witnesses in the armed gang robbery at Pavilion Embassy condominium in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, where RM2.91 million in cash, jewellery and luxury watches was stolen on Sept 7. Wangsa Maju police chief ACP Annas Sulaiman said investigators are still identifying suspects and are examining possible insider involvement given the condominium's strict security. The case is being investigated under Sections 395/397 of the Penal Code.

Fire in Taman Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur kills mother and two sons
A fire at a double-storey house on Jalan Satria 7/5 in Taman Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur killed a 49-year-old woman and her two sons, aged 18 and 11. The Klang district police chief said there is no criminal element or foul play, and the bodies were sent to Enche' Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital for post-mortem. The Fire and Rescue Department is investigating the cause.

Speaking at the UMNO Youth General Assembly 2026 at the World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur, he also announced the wing will adopt the child of the late Maran UMNO Youth division chief Mohd Radzi Rahimi, with RM36,000 placed in an SSPN account for the five-year-old.

11 police reports filed, foreign vagrant detained for scratching cars at TRX
A 34-year-old foreign man believed to be homeless was detained after cars were scratched at a parking area near The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur. Police received 11 reports, including three from TRX management, with losses estimated at RM3,000. The suspect is remanded for four days and will be sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a mental examination.

Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah closed 322 days for Mutiara LRT works
MRT Corp announced that Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah in George Town will have a 322-day traffic diversion from Sept 12, 2026 to July 31, 2027 for piling and structural works on the Mutiara Line LRT. Jalan Magazine will also be partially closed from 10pm on Sept 14 to 5am on Oct 5 for road widening and utility relocation.
