Chief Justice: Syed Ahmad Idid's pension issue under JPA jurisdiction
Chief Justice Tun Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh said the pension issue of former High Court judge Datuk Syed Ahmad Idid Syed Abdullah falls under the Public Services Department's jurisdiction. He said the judiciary cannot decide pension eligibility and Syed Ahmad Idid must apply to the JPA. He spoke after a memorial ceremony for former Chief Justices at Istana Kehakiman.

AGC objects to judicial review bid over diesel subsidy targeting
The Attorney General's Chambers objected to a leave application for judicial review by two individuals against the Prime Minister and three ministers over the removal of diesel subsidies in Peninsular Malaysia. The High Court was told the subsidy decision is not subject to judicial review as it is an executive policy matter, and the issue is now academic after subsidies were standardised on July 1.
