Elderly man hits accelerator by mistake, three injured in Pandan Perdana
An 89-year-old man accidentally pressed the accelerator while parking his car at Jalan 4/8 Pandan Perdana, Ampang Jaya, yesterday. Three people - a motorcyclist, a flower seller and a pedestrian - were injured and sought treatment at a nearby hospital. Police are investigating the case under Rule 10 LN 166/59.

1,500 join World Orangutan Day Fun Walk at Putrajaya Botanical Garden
More than 1,500 participants took part in the World Orangutan Day 2026 celebration at Taman Botani Putrajaya, organised by the Malaysian Palm Oil Green Conservation Foundation (MPOGCF) and launched by Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad. The main event was a 10km, 5km and 3km Fun Walk, with all entry fees channelled to the MPOGCF Conservation Fund for the Orang Utan Diplomacy (OUDip) programme.

The Mekdi National Takraw League 2026 will open competition in Seremban, Sungai Petani and Gong Badak from October, with the final in Kuala Lumpur in November. Former judge assault: textile tycoon and another ordered to enter defence
