Dr Sivanesan Letchumanan elected new president of Malaysian Medical Association
At the Malaysian Medical Association's annual general meeting in Ipoh, Dr Sivanesan Letchumanan took over as its new president. Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Jailani Muhamed Yunus said the effort is ongoing and several hundred posts remain, with Public Health Assistants also a priority. He spoke in Kuala Kangsar after officiating the SPA MADANI Adopted Village Project handover at Kampung Orang Asli Ulu Chenein.

Japan health minister visits Perkeso rehabilitation centre in Ipoh
Japan's Health Minister Kenichiro Ueno visited the Sultan Nazrin Shah PERKESO Rehabilitation Centre in Meru Raya, Ipoh, praising its vocational training and return-to-work model. Perak denies claim Taiping Hospital has no graduate medical officers
