Luno Malaysia will host the second Luno Institutional Digital Asset Conference (Lidac26) on Sept 24 at M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The one-day event will gather regional delegates, regulators and financial institutions to discuss institutional adoption of digital assets including stablecoins, tokenisation and custody. Anuar Bakri appointed Sentul district police chief
ACP Anuar Bakri Abdul Salam has been appointed the new Sentul district police chief, replacing Superintendent Jasni Zolpa. The handover and rank ceremony was held at the Sentul district police headquarters, witnessed by Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus. Anuar's wife was also appointed Sentul PERKEP chairperson.

Safee Sali, Koo Kien Keat to feature in humanoid robot fight league at Pavilion Damansara Heights
Former national footballer Safee Sali and former national doubles shuttler Koo Kien Keat are among the sports personalities expected to take part in New Dawn MY, a human-piloted humanoid robots competition, at Pavilion Arena, Pavilion Damansara Heights in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 3. Organiser Shadow Combat League said the event will feature seven bouts, including four preliminary fights and three championship bouts, with titles contested in the ICON, GLADIATOR and NETRUNNER categories.

Vietnamese couple arrested in Ampang for illegal immigration services
A Vietnamese husband and wife were arrested in a raid at a premises on Jalan Bemban, Ampang, Kuala Lumpur for allegedly offering illegal immigration services to fellow Vietnamese, charging up to RM12,000 per client. The Immigration Department conducted the raid after a month of intelligence gathering, seizing various documents and equipment. All three suspects were taken to the Putrajaya Immigration Office for further investigation.

Police probe insider link in RM2.91 million robbery at Pavilion Embassy
Police are investigating whether an insider was involved in a group robbery that caused RM2.91 million in losses at a luxury condominium on Jalan Ampang on 7 September. Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the case is linked to the victim himself, and police have identified suspects but made no arrests yet.

Jamil Khir among five charged in Kuala Lumpur over Tabung Haji funds

Man stabbed in the back while working at Kuala Lumpur Wholesale Market
A man in his 30s was stabbed in the back with a sharp metal object while working at the Kuala Lumpur Wholesale Market yesterday morning. He was taken to Selayang Hospital and is in stable condition, and police in Sentul are investigating the motive. A 47-second video of the injured man went viral on social media.
