Perhilitan tracks elephant hit by car near Kemaman
Wildlife officers in Terengganu are closely monitoring an elephant injured when a car struck it near Kemaman. The elephant was crossing the Jerangau-Sabur road when the collision occurred, injuring three people including a married couple. The animal fled into a nearby palm oil estate.

SWCorp Pahang: litterbugs offer higher fines to avoid community service
In Kuantan, SWCorp Pahang said some littering offenders tried to pay higher fines rather than carry out community service orders, including cleaning drains. A total of 3,295 notices were issued across Pahang from 1 January to 14 September, with about 200 offenders ordered to do community service in four districts.

API readings exceed 150 at three Terengganu stations
Air Pollutant Index (API) readings at three monitoring stations in Terengganu - Paka, Kuala Terengganu and Kemaman - simultaneously exceeded 150. Air quality expert Assoc Prof Azman Azid of UniSZA said the increase suggests possible regional pollutant transport and requires further analysis including hotspot data and the MyCMAQ model.

Pahang haze worsens, all five API stations record unhealthy readings
Hazy conditions and reduced visibility hit several areas in Pahang today, with all five API monitoring stations in the state recording unhealthy readings. Indera Mahkota in Kuantan recorded 164, the highest in Pahang since the haze began, and schools in Kuantan have suspended outdoor co-curricular activities. A state committee chairman advised residents to limit outdoor activity, avoid open burning and wear masks.

Sultan of Pahang: Ru'RASA homes must be quality despite low cost
The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, said the Ru'RASA affordable housing project must maintain quality even though construction costs are low, calling the homes a sanctuary for families. Man who stabbed wife 13 times remanded seven days in Kulim
A man who surrendered at Lunas police station after allegedly killing his wife at Taman Tiram, Hi-Tech, in Kulim, has been remanded for seven days. The 39-year-old victim died with 13 stab wounds, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

Car hits elephant on Jerangau-Jabor road, husband and wife injured
A husband and wife were slightly injured after their Perodua Ativa hit an elephant at Kilometre 160 of Jalan Jerangau-Jabor near Bandar Cheneh Baru, Kemaman, last night. The couple were travelling from Kuantan towards Kuala Terengganu when the elephant crossed the road, and a Perodua Myvi behind them also hit the rear of their car. Both victims were taken to Kemaman Hospital's emergency unit.

Two cars hit elephant on Jerangau-Jabor road, three injured
Three people were slightly injured when a Perodua Ativa struck an elephant crossing at KM160 of Jalan Jerangau-Jabor near Ladang Jabor, Kemaman, last night. A Perodua Myvi behind also hit the Ativa's rear. Two victims were treated at Kemaman Hospital's Green Zone and police are investigating.

House in Kampung Baru Cendering destroyed 90 percent in fire
An elderly man, Ismail Ali, 65, escaped after his house in Kampung Baru Cendering, Kuantan, caught fire last night. The fire destroyed about 90 percent of the semi-permanent house, and the operation involved firefighters from BBP Taman Tas and BBP Indera Mahkota. The cause is still under investigation.

Sultan of Pahang forbids Ru'RASA recipients from selling or renting homes

YPM FC beat Majlis Daerah Raub 2-1 in the final of the Pahang People's League 1st Al-Sultan Abdullah Cup at Stadium Darul Makmur, Kuantan. YPM FC win inaugural Pahang People's Football League
YPM FC became the first champions of the Pahang Liga Bola Sepak Rakyat after beating Majlis Daerah Raub FC 2-1 in the final at Darul Makmur Stadium, Kuantan. Two dead after car collides with pickup on Jalan Gambang-Maran
Two men died after the Honda Civic they were in lost control and collided with a Toyota Hilux on Jalan Gambang-Maran, near the Kampung Paya Rambutan junction at Tasik Paya Bungor, Kuantan. The Civic driver, Muhammad Daniel Haiqal Abdullah, 17, and passenger Mohd Sharul Sufriyanto, 40, died at the scene. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Two former childcare workers in Kuantan plead not guilty to neglecting, abusing children

Ex-KPTM Ipoh administrator faces six charges over female students
