Sarawak targets 15GW clean energy by 2035, plans ASEAN power exports
Sarawak aims to generate up to 15 gigawatts of electricity by 2035 and export surplus renewable power to neighbouring countries. Premier Abang Johari Tun Openg said the surplus will support the ASEAN power grid, including talks to supply 1GW to Singapore via undersea cable. He said the main challenge is a common regulatory framework among ASEAN members.
