Finance Ministry: No restrictions on rural road funds, contractor payments to continue
The Finance Ministry has denied imposing any restrictions on the Rural and Regional Development Ministry's (KKDW) allocation for rural roads, while acknowledging payment constraints to contractors. It said the current year's allocation has been nearly fully spent, but an additional RM300 million has been approved to clear arrears. This follows Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Hamidi's announcement of 'Operation Zero Arrears'.
