Labuan man loses RM12,400 to fake generator supply project
A man in Labuan lost RM12,400 after being tricked by someone posing as a Labuan Water Department employee offering a bogus generator set supply project. The victim transferred the money after receiving a fake local purchase order, and only discovered the scam when the Water Department confirmed no such project existed. Police are investigating under Section 420 of the Penal Code.
