Court sets 15 trial days from July 26 for former Armed Forces chief
The Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur has fixed 15 days from July 26 next year for the trial of former Armed Forces chief Tan Sri Mohd Nizam Jaffar, who faces four charges of abuse of position and criminal breach of trust involving RM3 million. The charges relate to alleged bribes and misuse of the Armed Forces Welfare Fund (TKAT) linked to Hari Raya parcel supply contracts in 2024. Army officer murder case: chemical report due 13 October
The Kuala Lumpur Magistrate's Court has fixed 13 October for the chemical report in the case of Captain Jad Faid Arhan, 31, accused of killing Bangladeshi influencer Muzahid Millad, 22, in a crash on the Maju Expressway (MEX) on 23 April. The same date was set in a separate traffic court for two charges of driving under the influence that seriously injured an e-hailing driver and a woman passenger.

Gombak Setia assemblyman Muhammad Hilman Idham was acquitted and discharged by the Magistrate's Court in Kuala Lumpur of a charge under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code. A contractor was fined RM20,000 by the Johor Baru Sessions Court after pleading guilty to using forged documents to secure RM5 million worth of Felda road and drainage projects. The offences were committed in Muar in February 2023, and the projects were located in Gua Musang, Kelantan and Batu Pahat.
