INTRAS calls for full audit of Flying Doctor Service contracts and safety SOPs
Pertubuhan Integriti dan Antirasuah Malaysia (INTRAS) has urged a comprehensive review of the Flying Doctor Service after the Sept 8 helicopter crash near Long Lellang, Ulu Baram, Sarawak, which killed a pilot and four Health Ministry personnel. Its president Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Husin said aircraft safety, maintenance standards, contractual oversight and governance must be scrutinised, including the status of other helicopters of the same type or under the same operator. INTRAS supports continuing the service for remote Sarawak communities but wants any aircraft with unresolved safety questions grounded pending inspections.

Dr Ainul Baraah's body expected to arrive in Kelantan tomorrow morning
The body of Dr Ainul Baraah Kamaruddin, 33, who died in a helicopter crash in Long Lellang, Sarawak, is expected to arrive in Kelantan tomorrow morning. Her father said the body will be taken to Masjid Al Karomah Mukim Baung Besar, Pengkalan Chepa, before burial at Tanah Perkuburan Islam Sri Kedeper. FDS helicopter crash: Sarawak hands investigation to CAAM
The Sarawak government is leaving the investigation into the Air Doctor Service (FDS) helicopter crash near Long Lellang, Ulu Baram to the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).
